EPITA Paris: a new working space fully dedicated to our international students!

Launched in 2010 with only two students, the EPITA International program now boasts several hundred individuals from around the world. Building on this success, the Parisian campus decided to inaugurate a brand-new working space dedicated to those who have traveled several thousand kilometers to join the school's renowned Masters of Engineering & Computer Science programs. Inaugurated on Thursday, May 14, 2018, in the presence of businesses, ambassadors, Alumni, as well as EPITA personnel and teachers, this space can accommodate nearly 250 people and has a strong focus on learning and innovation, with highly appealing state of the art connected screens.inter_workingspace1.pnginter_workingspace2.pngLeft to right: Joël Courtois, EPITA Managing Director, Le Toan Nguyen, Vietnam embassy First Secretary, Rabih Haddad, Director of international programs and Fabrice Bardèche, executive vice-president of the IONIS Education Group

Rabih Haddad, director of international programs, confirmed that the school has long wanted to create a space specially dedicated to international students: "In the beginning, the international students were few and far between, so they occasionally felt a bit "lost" on campus. However, with over 30 nationalities on our campus today, it has become necessary to create a working space that will allow them to concentrate on their internal or entrepreneurial projects and meet with their teachers." When developing this space, the EPITA teams used a variety of cutting-edge ideas for inspiration. "We drew our inspiration from the many institutions and campuses that we have visited around the world while promoting our school", stated Rabih Haddad. "This is why we chose to use Smart TVs that allow both teachers and students to connect their computers wirelessly, directly comment on each other's slides, etc. This is important given that the Master of Science at EPITA is one of the largest in France with nearly 200 international students enrolled, a number we hope will double in the next two to three years." This will surely lead to future success stories, similar to the program's numerous Alumni, who have become successful professionals and who accepted the school's invitation to discover this new space and meet the students. "It was very important for us that the Alumni attended this inauguration because, after all, they are and will remain our best ambassadors!"
